McClellan, Cook to Headline Keynote Speakers at MHPA's 2010 Annual Meeting; Save the Dates November 4-5, 2010

MHPA has secured two keynote speakers who have given strong presentations at MHPA conferences in the past for its 2010 Annual Meeting, taking place November 4-5 in Arlington, Virginia. Charlie Cook wowed the audience at the 2008 MHPA Annual Meeting, while Dr. Mark McClellan gave poignant remarks at the 2005 Minority Health Conference. The New York Times has called Cook “one of the best political handicappers in the nation” and noted that The Cook Political Report is “a newsletter that both parties regard as authoritative,” and Bob Schieffer of CBS News calls it “the bible of the political community.” One of the most respected leaders on U.S. health care policy, Dr. Mark McClellan addresses America’s current health care challenges. As Medicare and Medicaid administrator, McClellan—who oversaw a budget larger than that of the Pentagon’s—instituted the largest reform of both systems in over 40 years, reforms which will have a profound impact on your health care. Keep checking the MHPA website for 2010 Annual Meeting updates.
