Policy and Advocacy
MHPA has expanded our advocacy efforts from sole interaction with the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, to include active advocacy with the U.S. Congress, and monitoring of state Medicaid activity. This activity has focused on issues such as adequate Medicaid funding, actuarial soundness, and expansion of Medicaid managed care. We have also actively engaged with the Medicaid Commission, established our own issues agenda, and produced our own principles on Medicaid reform. Finally, we have co-sponsored papers on rate setting/actuarial soundness, and the expansion of Medicaid managed care. Visit MHPA's Policy and Advocacy page.

Industry Resources
MHPA conducts webinars, publishes multiple newsletters, and distributes publications and reports to ensure that MHPA members and relevant stakeholders are aware of current issues affecting the Medicaid health plan industry. Our website provides reports on the Medicaid health plan industry (including our Best Practices Compendium), information on our policy and advocacy efforts, and membership material highlighting the value of MHPA. Annual Meeting

2012 Annual Awards Forum
